Description
Authority for electricity Regulations, Oman requires Assistant Legal Advisor
Job Responsibilities
-
Prepare legal opinions and memos of the directorate and documents of the Authority
-
Monitors the compliance licenses and exemption holders
-
Prepares the Authority submissions and represents it in courts or arbitration proceedings or any other litigation related to the Authority
-
Performs tasks related to licenses and exemptions applications and other applications submitted to the Authority
-
Maintains and manages the information and databases of the directorate
-
Coordinates with the related directorates in the Authority on actual or potential breaches of the Sector Law and/or licenses and exceptions
-
Prepares and reviews drafts of regulations, decisions, determinations on disputes and other legal documents
-
Participates in investigations and audits carried out by the Authority, prepares investigation reports and follows up the subsequent procedures
-
Provides legal investigation reports and follows up the subsequent procedures
-
Provides legal opinions to other directorates of Authority and reviews drafts of documents
-
Assists the legal advisor and the director in their duties
-
Performs any other tasks assigned by the Executives Director and or members of the Authority

All other work and tasks included by the job description
Experience and Qualifications
-
Bachelors in law from an accredited university (minimum GPA 3.0 or equivalent)

Proficiency in both Arabic and English languages, speaking and writing
-
Goof expertise of the Omani laws, governmental regulations and procedures
-
Good knowledge of computers skills and surfing on the internet
