Description
Occidental Petroleum Corporation required electrical construction engineer in Oman. The Electrical Construction Engineer should have following responsibilities
Job Responsibilities
-
Supply field E&I supervision and expansion reports all Electrical and Instrumentation projects.
-
Manage and examine Work Instruction progress in consultation with E&I superintendent and project engineers.
-
Make sure that all E/I construction work is passed out in accord with Permit to Work procedures, project drawings, project priorities and identify and correct any deviations.

Support responsiveness of the Company Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality policies and procedures to achieve fit-for-purpose Construction engineering.

Active participation on near miss and incident reporting programs.

Observe capability of contractor staff to meet the appropriate professional standards for the project completion.

Analysis of contractor Mark-ups drawings and handover dossiers.

Make sure red line mark up’s are performed
-
MEI Pack review prior to issue to QC.
-
Make quantitative daily progress reports.
-
Provide input to daily/weekly progress reports as applicable.
-
Check MTO availability on site and identify short falls.
-
Familiar with ESD/ F&G Protection/ DCS/ UPS systems.
Job Qualification
-
One should have done Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation Engineering or any related discipline
-
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Electrical & Instrumentation in the construction in oil and gas / petrochemical industry.
-
Broad experience in E&I construction works, including low medium and high-voltage control systems.
-
COMPEX or equivalent IEC Ex certification for installation of explosion protected apparatus in hazardous areas.
-
Knowledge of specific E&I Standards and codes, US, European and British within hazardous areas.
-
Excellent communication skills.
-
Good Computer skills.
